How to Start the Process
Institutions:
1. Start by emailing or calling Beth to set up a time for an initial conversation to talk about your situation and need. Expect 15 to 45 minutes to discuss your needs. 2. After the initial conversation and if you decide to go forward, Beth will develop a preliminary proposal to capture your goals. This proposal will contain a project description, intended scope of work, and project timeline. For instance, you might want her to come to campus to give a workshop to faculty and work with administrators in reviewing a self-study. Or you might want her to review materials, and then have a Skype conversation with particular administrators. There are many possibilities. The proposal will outline the goals, desired content, and dates for these steps. 3. You will have an opportunity to give feedback on the initial proposal. 4. A final version of the proposal will be prepared, which will include price and terms. Click on Contact to begin the process. |
Individuals desiring one-on-one professional coaching:
1. Call or email Beth to set up a time for a brief, initial consultation to determine if you'd like to go forward. It may or may not be desirable to have this correspondence by email. If not, you will be able to talk to Beth by phone to describe briefly your concern or situation. 2. If you choose to move forward, you'll receive a consent form to sign and return. (Insurance companies and "best practices" require this.) It will clarify expectations and include a waiver, as well as instructions for using PayPal to make payment. Coaching is billed at $90.00 for a 50-minute session. 3. When the consent form is sent out, you and Beth can schedule a time to talk. Your session can take place via phone or Skype, whichever you prefer. Note: For projects that involve reading and commenting on materials-- for example, a job application letter and/or CV--the actual time for review is billed, along with a follow-up phone conversation to talk it through. (Note that it is much more cost-effective to talk it through with a few notes rather than request Beth to provide thorough written comments.) Billing can occur in increments of an hour, much as a lawyer might bill you. Click on Contact to begin the process. |
